So it has been raining in San Diego for the last couple days. WTF....I left Sacramento because I hated rainy days. We'll the Squareback is still hibernating. Can't wait for summer to come by....then it will awake and turn heads as I cruise down the sunny beach streets.

After some time im back, i finally finished my 2110cc, im really happy with it, i need to work on some details im missing like the breather box, cause the blowby is pulling some oil out, and some problems with my Berg likage, the importat part is that it works really well.

So I bought a 1969 Squareback a couple of month's ago. It's in decent shape, except for a ding on the passenger headlight (easy fix). I drove it home and the drive changed my life. This car is great...I noticed the difference immediately. I also notice something else. As I was driving around my neighborhood on a lovely Sunday morning there were other VW's in the area. HELP! Is there anyone in the Greater New York City area that charges for a great job doing a headliner install. I've tried it too many times and now I give up. I'm too picky about being perfect to let my attempts ride. Let me know.

Hey, I got to attend the local Piney Woods VW show, and here are a few of my favorite images: And here is the steal of the month: Two dizzys 4 Two bucks. Not bad at all! We had a great day, and even had our picture taken by the local newspaper (don't know if we made it in though).

(that was fun) I will be working on putting the front end together soon. I will also be sending the tranny off for rebuild (yes, I know, the king DIY guy is caving!) Over the past 5+ years, this show in my recollection has been plagued with a slightly damp and/or cold weather conditions. This year, the weather could have never been more perfect. The sun was shining, but not too much harmful UV lights to scare away guys who cars are normally like vampires (garaged and covered from the harmful rays of the sun).
